August 2-7, 2009
Our annual mission trip to Mexico has become a Good Samaritan
tradition, strengthening bonds within our church family while
serving God with joy. We will again be going through a partnership
with Amor Ministries. If you would like more information about
Amor Ministry programs, please visit their website at www.amor.org.
As a trip participant, there are a few things you can do
to prepare yourself for your mission trip.
- Have the proper document identification. You need
a passport, or passport card, or if you are under 18, you
need your birth certificate. For more information go to
the U.S. Government website www.getyouhome.gov.
- What to pack? Click here to view and print the PDF.
- Want to know some Spanish? Knowing Spanish is not
necessary to have a successful trip, however, a few basic
phrases will help while in Mexico. Check out studyspanish.com
and spanishunlimited.com
to learn some Spanish to help with conversations while you
are in Mexico. The more you are able to interact with the
family, the children, and the people in the neighborhood,
the richer your experience will be.
- Register for the trip. Here are all the forms you
need. Click on the links below to download a PDF of the
forms. You can drop them by the church office or mail them
with your $75.00 deposit to GSLC Mexico Mission Trip, 8425
W. Windmill Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89113. The balance of $75.00
will be due on June 20, 2009.
If you need more information, call Dan Reese, Mexico Mission
Coordinator at 702-873-3589, or send an e-mail to dreese@gslclasvegas.org
